Inside the roastery

Our roastery

By the Aare since 1987

What began as a small coffee bar with its own roaster is now a family business with around thirty people – and we still roast every batch by hand.

Small batches, big flavour

Our drum roasters hold no more than 15 kilos. That is less efficient than an industrial plant – but it is the only way to smell and hear every batch and stop it at the right moment.

After roasting, the beans rest for a day before we taste, pack and ship them that same day.

Our journey

Four decades, two generations and one passion.
